When a specific issue is created in GitHub, summarize and apply its content with DeepSeek

When a specific issue is created in GitHub, summarize and apply its content with DeepSeek

Launch this workflow to connect GitHub & DeepSeek !
■Overview
Managing GitHub Issues can become increasingly complex as a project grows more active. Reviewing the details and determining the priority of every new Issue can be time-consuming. With this workflow, whenever a new Issue is created in GitHub, DeepSeek, an AI model, automatically summarizes its content and adds the summary to the Issue. Integrating DeepSeek with GitHub streamlines Issue review and supports a smoother response process.
■Recommended for
  • Developers and project managers who spend significant time reviewing and organizing Issues in GitHub
  • Those who want to automate project management on GitHub using generative AI tools such as DeepSeek
  • Team leaders who want to improve information sharing across the development team and speed up task assignment
■Benefits of using this template
  • Summaries are generated automatically whenever an Issue is created in GitHub, reducing the time spent understanding its content so you can focus on your core work.
  • AI-generated objective summaries are added to Issues, helping reduce the risk of inconsistent interpretations and overlooked details.
■Workflow steps
  1. First, connect GitHub and DeepSeek to Yoom.
  2. Next, select GitHub as the trigger and set the action to “When a new Issue is created.”
  3. Then, configure the branching feature in the operation so that subsequent actions run only when specific conditions are met.
  4. Next, set the DeepSeek “Generate text” action in the operation and instruct it to summarize the Issue body and other information retrieved by the trigger.
  5. Finally, set the GitHub “Update Issue” action in the operation to add the summary generated by DeepSeek to the target Issue.
※ “Trigger”: An action that starts the workflow. “Operation”: An action that processes data within the workflow after the trigger runs.
■Customization options
  • In the GitHub trigger settings, specify the owner name and repository name for the repository you want to target.
  • With the branching feature, you can flexibly set conditions for branching subsequent operations based on Issue information retrieved by the trigger, such as label names and authors.
  • With the DeepSeek text generation action, you can freely customize the prompt to adjust the accuracy and format of the summary. You can also use information such as the Issue title and body as variables.
  • With the GitHub Update Issue action, you can use fixed values or information retrieved in previous operations as variables and set them in any Issue field.
■Notes
  • Connect both GitHub and DeepSeek to Yoom.
  • You can choose a trigger interval of 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 minutes.
  • Note that the shortest available trigger interval varies by plan.
  • Branching is an operation available on the Personal plan and higher. On the Free plan, the configured workflow operation will result in an error.
  • Paid plans, such as the Personal plan, include a 2-week free trial. During the free trial, you can use apps and features (operations) that are otherwise subject to plan restrictions. For details, see the Plans and Pricing page.
