■Overview
Do you manually transfer customer meetings or development meeting schedules booked through Cal.com to GitHub every time? This not only takes time but can also lead to missing information and delays. This workflow automatically creates a GitHub Issue when a specific event is created in Cal.com, resolving these integration challenges and enabling seamless information sharing.
■Who should use this template
- Developers who use Cal.com and GitHub and find manual task coordination time-consuming
- Project managers who want to streamline task management for development projects and prevent gaps in information sharing
- Anyone looking to improve team productivity by automating the integration between Cal.com and GitHub
■Benefits of using this template
- When an event is created in Cal.com, a GitHub Issue is created automatically, reducing the time spent manually sharing information.
- Event details such as the title and description are transferred automatically, helping prevent human errors such as data entry mistakes and missed updates.
■How the flow works
- First, connect Cal.com and GitHub to Yoom.
- Next, select Cal.com as the trigger and set the action to “When an event is registered (Webhook).”
- Then, configure the branching feature in the operation so that subsequent actions run only when specific conditions are met.
- Finally, set the GitHub “Create an Issue” action in the operation to create an Issue using the information retrieved from Cal.com.
※“Trigger”: An action that starts the flow. “Operation”: An action that processes data within the flow after the trigger runs.
■Customization options
- When configuring the branching feature, you can route subsequent processes based on information retrieved from Cal.com, such as the event title or type, using conditions like “when specific keywords are included.”
- For the GitHub action that creates an Issue, you can set Cal.com event details as variables in the title or body, and specify custom values for the assignee, labels, and more.
■Notes
- Connect both Cal.com and GitHub to Yoom.
- The branching feature is available as an operation on the Personal plan and above. On the Free plan, configured flow bot operations that use this feature will result in an error.
- Paid plans such as the Personal plan include a two-week free trial. During the free trial, you can use apps and features (operations) that are otherwise subject to plan restrictions. For details, see the “Plans and Pricing.”
