■Overview
Do you find it time-consuming to manually transfer task or event information managed in Airtable to Google Calendar each time? Manual data entry can also lead to human errors, such as input mistakes and missed registrations. With this workflow, a new event is automatically created in Google Calendar whenever a new record is added to Airtable, making it easy to connect Airtable and Google Calendar while streamlining schedule management.
■Recommended for
- Anyone who uses both Airtable and Google Calendar and wants to eliminate duplicate data entry
- Anyone who wants information managed in Airtable to be reflected in Google Calendar events
- Anyone looking to automate manual schedule management tasks and improve team-wide productivity
■Benefits of using this template
- Creating an event in Google Calendar is completed simply by adding a record to Airtable, reducing the time spent manually transferring information
- Eliminating manual data entry helps prevent human errors, such as incorrect event dates, times, or details, as well as missed registrations for important events
■Flowbot steps
- First, connect Airtable and Google Calendar to Yoom
- Next, select Airtable as the trigger and set the action to “When a record is added”
- Then, configure the branching feature in an operation so that subsequent steps run only when specific conditions are met
- Finally, set the Google Calendar operation to “Create an event” and create an event using the information retrieved from Airtable
※ “Trigger”: An action that starts the flow. “Operation”: An action that processes data within the flow after the trigger starts.
■Customization options
- In the Airtable trigger settings, specify the base ID and table ID to be connected, as well as the Created Time field name that serves as the starting point for the flow
- With the branching feature, you can freely set the conditions for proceeding to create a Google Calendar event based on the record information retrieved from Airtable
- When creating an event in Google Calendar, you can set fixed values or information retrieved from Airtable as variables for fields such as the title, date and time, and description
■Notes
- Connect both Airtable and Google Calendar to Yoom.
- You can select a trigger interval of 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 minutes.
- Please note that the shortest available trigger interval varies by plan.
- Airtable outputs can be retrieved using JSONPath. See below for instructions.
See instructions - Branching is an available feature (operation) on the Mini plan and above. On the Free plan, configured Flowbot operations that use branching will result in an error.
- Paid plans, such as the Mini plan, include a two-week free trial. During the free trial, you can use apps and features (operations) that are otherwise restricted.
