When text is added to Notion, summarize it with AI and add it to Coda

When text is added to Notion, summarize it with AI and add it to Coda

Launch this workflow to connect Notion & Coda !
■Overview
Do you manually transfer or summarize meeting notes, memos, web clips, and other information that accumulates in Notion every day before managing it in Coda? These repetitive tasks are not only time-consuming but can also lead to mistakes such as missing information.

With this workflow, adding information to Notion triggers AI to automatically summarize the content and add it to Coda. By connecting Notion and Coda, you can automate tedious data entry and streamline information management.
■Recommended for
  • Anyone who uses Notion and Coda together and finds manually transferring or summarizing information time-consuming
  • Anyone who wants to summarize information collected in Notion and share the key points with their team in Coda
  • Anyone who wants to connect Notion and Coda without API development and make information management more efficient
■Benefits of this template
  • Adding a page to Notion automatically triggers AI summarization and registration in Coda, reducing the time previously spent transferring information and creating summaries.
  • By preventing copy-and-paste errors and inconsistencies in manually created summaries, this workflow transfers information accurately from Notion to Coda and reduces the risk of human error.
■How the Flowbot works
  1. First, connect Notion and Coda to Yoom.
  2. Next, select Notion as the trigger and set the action to “When a page in a specific data source is created or updated.”
  3. Next, use the branching feature to set the condition “Created date = Updated date” so that only newly created pages proceed to the subsequent actions. Without this branch, updated pages will also proceed to the next action.
  4. Next, configure the Notion operation “Retrieve a record (ID search)” to retrieve the information of the page obtained by the trigger.
  5. Next, configure the AI operation “Summarize” to summarize the retrieved Notion page content.
  6. Finally, configure the Coda operation “Add a row to a table” to add the summarized text to the specified table.
※“Trigger”: An action that starts the flow. “Operation”: An action that processes data within the flow after the trigger starts it.
■Customization options
  • When summarizing text with the AI feature, you can specify the desired output length. Adjust the summary length to suit your needs.
  • When adding a row to a Coda table, you can include not only the AI-generated summary but also information obtained by the trigger or other operations, such as the Notion page title and URL.
