When a task is created in Asana, create a folder in Microsoft SharePoint and update the task

This workflow solves these challenges effortlessly by automatically creating a folder in Microsoft SharePoint whenever a new task is created in Asana.

■Workflow

1. First, connect Asana and Microsoft SharePoint to Yoom.
2. Next, select Asana as the trigger, set the “When a new task is added to a specific project” action, and retrieve the task information.
3. Then, select Microsoft SharePoint as the operation, set the “Create a folder” action, and create a folder based on the task information retrieved in the previous step.
4. Finally, set Asana’s “Update a task” action as the operation and add information about the Microsoft SharePoint folder you created to the Asana task.

※ “Trigger”: An action that starts the workflow. “Operation”: An action that processes data within the workflow after the trigger starts.

■Customization Options

• In the Asana trigger settings, specify the workspace ID and project ID you want to include in the automation.
• When creating a folder in Microsoft SharePoint, you can configure the folder name, storage location, and other settings using fixed values or information retrieved from Asana, such as the task name, as variables.
• When updating an Asana task, you can set information retrieved in subsequent operations as variables, such as the URL of the folder created in Microsoft SharePoint, and add it to the comments or description field.

• Connect both Asana and Microsoft SharePoint to Yoom.
• You can select a trigger interval of 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 minutes.
• Note that the shortest trigger interval varies by plan.
• Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) offers plans for home users and business users (Microsoft 365 Business). Authentication may fail if you are not subscribed to a business plan.
