Create an incident in Statuspage when a page is created in Confluence
■Overview
When an incident occurs, do you find it time-consuming to create meeting notes and response logs in Confluence and then manually transfer the information to Statuspage? As teams need to publish information quickly, delays and data entry errors caused by manual work are challenges worth eliminating.
With this workflow, you can automate the integration between Confluence and Statuspage. Whenever a page is created in Confluence, an incident is automatically created in Statuspage, enabling accurate information sharing.
■Who Is This Template For?
- Teams looking to streamline their incident management process using Confluence and Statuspage
- Team leaders who want to prevent reporting delays and human errors caused by manually transferring information
- Teams looking to automate their information-sharing workflow during outages and build a smoother response process
■Benefits of Using This Template
- Creating a page in Confluence automatically registers an incident in Statuspage, reducing the time previously spent on manual work.
- Eliminating manual data transfers helps prevent human errors such as incorrect entries and missed updates, supporting accurate information sharing.
■Flow Bot Steps
- First, connect Confluence and Statuspage to Yoom.
- Next, select Confluence as the trigger and set the action to “When a page is created.”
- Then, configure the Confluence “Get a page” action as an operation to retrieve detailed information about the page created by the trigger.
- Finally, configure Statuspage’s “Create Incident” action as an operation to create an incident based on the page information retrieved in the previous step.
※“Trigger”: An action that starts the flow. “Operation”: An action that processes data within the flow after the trigger starts.
■Customization Options
- In the Confluence trigger settings, enter the cloud ID of the target workspace.
- When retrieving a page from Confluence, set the page ID obtained by the trigger as a variable to dynamically specify which page to retrieve.
- When creating an incident in Statuspage, set information retrieved from Confluence in the previous step as variables for fields such as the incident name and description.
■Notes
- Connect both Confluence and Statuspage to Yoom.
- You can choose a trigger interval of 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 minutes.
