Notify via Gmail the day before a Trello card is due

Notify via Gmail the day before a Trello card is due

Launch this workflow to connect Trello & Gmail !
■Overview
When managing a large number of tasks in Trello, it's easy to miss the deadlines for important cards.
Missing a deadline can lead directly to project delays and issues.
With this workflow, Gmail automatically notifies you one day before a Trello card is due, helping you prevent missed tasks and keep your daily operations running smoothly.

■Recommended for
  • Those who manage projects or tasks in Trello and want to avoid missing deadlines
  • Project leaders who want to automatically remind team members about important task deadlines
  • Those who find manual reminders time-consuming and want to streamline repetitive tasks

■Benefits of this template
  • Automatically check and notify you about cards approaching their deadlines every day, preventing human errors such as missed checks and reducing the risk of task delays.
  • Automate deadline checks and reminder tasks that were previously handled manually, giving you more time to focus on higher-priority core work.

■Flowbot steps
  1. First, connect Trello and Gmail to Yoom.
  2. Next, select the Schedule Trigger feature as the trigger and set your preferred schedule for launching the flow, such as “Run at a set time every day.”
  3. Then, configure Trello’s “Get a list of cards from a specific list” action to retrieve the cards you want to monitor.
  4. Use the Repeat Processing feature to check the retrieved card information one card at a time.
  5. Within the repeat process, configure Trello’s “Get card information” action to retrieve details such as the due date for each card.
  6. Next, configure a Branching feature with the condition “The card is due tomorrow.”
  7. Finally, Gmail’s “Send an email” action runs only when the condition is met, sending a notification email that includes the card information.
※“Trigger”: An action that starts the flow. “Operation”: An action that processes data within the flow after the trigger starts.

■Customization options
  • In Trello’s “Get a list of cards from a specific list” action, set the board ID and list ID for the board you want to monitor.
  • For the Repeat Processing feature, make sure to correctly set the list of Trello cards retrieved in the previous step as the data to be processed repeatedly.
  • With the Branching feature, you can set when to send notifications, such as when a card is due tomorrow.
  • In the Gmail notification settings, you can freely customize the recipient email address, subject, and message. You can also insert card names and other information retrieved from Trello as variables in the message.

■Notes
  • Connect both Trello and Gmail to Yoom.
  • Actions between “Repeat the same process” operations are available on the Personal plan and above. On the Free plan, configured Flowbot operations and Data Connect features will result in errors.
  • Paid plans, such as the Personal plan, include a two-week free trial. During the trial, you can use apps and features (operations) that are otherwise subject to restrictions.
