■Overview
Do you find it time-consuming to manually download images shared on Discord, convert them to Word files, and save them in a specific folder? This workflow automates the entire process, from triggering on a Discord post to automatically converting attached images into Word files with an online tool and saving them to Dropbox. Free yourself from repetitive file conversion and storage tasks so you can focus on more important work.
■Who Should Use This Template
- Sales and planning team members who create documents by converting images shared on Discord into Word files
- Operations improvement teams looking for a more efficient tool to reduce manual file conversion and storage tasks
- Managers who want to automate file management and information-sharing processes within their teams
■Benefits of Using This Template
- Automatically convert images shared on Discord into Word files and save them, reducing the time previously spent on manual tasks
- Eliminate manual file conversion and upload tasks to prevent human errors such as saving files in the wrong location or using incorrect file names
■How the Flowbot Works
- First, connect Discord and Dropbox with Yoom
- Next, select Discord as the trigger and set the action to “When a message is sent in a channel”
- Set up branching in the operation so that subsequent steps run only when the conditions are met, such as when a post contains specific keywords
- Then, set up Discord’s “Download files from a message” action as an operation
- Set up the RPA feature as an operation to access an online conversion tool and perform browser actions to convert the downloaded image into a Word file
- Use the data transformation feature’s “Replace data using regular expressions” action to prepare the information used for the saved file name
- Finally, set up Dropbox’s “Upload a file” action as an operation to save the converted Word file in the specified folder
※ “Trigger”: An action that starts the flow. “Operation”: An action that processes data within the flow after the trigger starts.
■Customization Options
- In the Discord trigger settings, specify the channel where you want to start the flow
- With the branching feature, you can freely define the conditions for running the flow, such as responding only to messages containing specific keywords
- For the RPA feature (browser actions), configure the URL of the online tool you use to convert images into Word files, along with actions such as uploading files and clicking the conversion button
- In the Dropbox file upload settings, you can specify the destination folder and file name
■Notes
- Connect both Discord and Dropbox with Yoom.
- Branching is available on the Mini plan and above, while browser operation features are available only on the Success plan. On other plans, the configured Flowbot operation will result in an error.
- Paid plans, such as the Mini plan, include a two-week free trial. During the free trial, you can use apps and features (operations) that are otherwise restricted.
- For instructions on setting up browser operation features, see this guide.
- Customize browser operations to match the website you use.
- You can choose a trigger interval of 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 minutes.
- Please note that the shortest available trigger interval varies by plan.
- Due to system specifications, the names of files posted to Discord may not be reflected. If this occurs, refer to this guide to retrieve the “title” value.
