Create a ticket in Zendesk when a record matching specific conditions is created in Airtable

Create a ticket in Zendesk when a record matching specific conditions is created in Airtable

Launch this workflow to connect Airtable & Zendesk !

■Overview

Do you use Airtable and Zendesk together to manage customer inquiries and tasks, but find it time-consuming to manually transfer information from Airtable to Zendesk—and worry about input errors? This workflow automatically creates a Zendesk ticket when a specific record is created in Airtable, eliminating inefficient manual data transfers and helping your team respond faster.

‍

■Who This Template Is For

  • Anyone who manually creates Zendesk tickets from tasks or other information managed in Airtable
  • Anyone who wants to automate data transfers between Zendesk and Airtable to streamline daily operations
  • Managers who want to easily connect both tools via API and build a faster customer support process

‍

■Benefits of This Template

  • Automatically create a Zendesk ticket when a record is added to Airtable, reducing the time spent on manual data entry.
  • Eliminate manual copy-and-paste work to prevent human errors such as data transfer mistakes and missed responses, enabling more accurate ticket management.

‍

■Flowbot Steps

  1. First, connect Zendesk and Airtable to Yoom.
  2. Next, select Airtable as the trigger, set the action to “When a record is added,” and specify the target base and table.
  3. Next, configure a branch in the operation settings so that the workflow proceeds only when specific conditions are met.
  4. Next, select Zendesk in the operation settings, set the action to “Create a ticket,” and map the information retrieved from Airtable to the ticket subject and body.
  5. Finally, configure Airtable’s “Update a record” action in the operation settings to update the status or other information of the record after the ticket is created.

※“Trigger”: An action that starts the flow. “Operation”: An action that performs a process within the flow after the trigger starts.

‍

■Customization Options

  • In the Airtable trigger and operation settings, configure the base ID, table ID or name, and field information used to create tickets according to your environment.
  • You can set any conditions for creating tickets using the branching feature. For example, you can configure the workflow to proceed only when “Urgent” is entered in a specific Airtable field.
  • In the Zendesk action settings, configure the subdomain of your Zendesk account.

‍

■Important Notes

  • Connect both Airtable and Zendesk to Yoom.
  • You can select a trigger interval of 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 minutes.
  • Please note that the shortest available trigger interval varies by plan.
