When a file matching specific conditions is uploaded to a Box folder, extract text with OCR and create a product in Stripe

When a file matching specific conditions is uploaded to a Box folder, extract text with OCR and create a product in Stripe

Launch this workflow to connect Box & Stripe !

■Overview

Do you manually register information from files such as applications and purchase orders uploaded to Box in Stripe each time? This manual work is not only time-consuming but can also lead to human errors such as data entry mistakes. This workflow connects Box and Stripe, automatically uses OCR to read the contents of specific uploaded files, and registers the information as product data in Stripe. Free yourself from repetitive data entry and focus on more important tasks.

‍

■Recommended for

  • Those who use Box and Stripe regularly and find manual data integration time-consuming
  • Those who manually register products in Stripe based on information from files uploaded to Box
  • Those who want to eliminate transcription errors when transferring data from files and improve operational accuracy

‍

■Benefits of using this template

  • Automate the process from uploading a file to Box to creating a product in Stripe, reducing the time previously spent on manual work.
  • Automatically extract and register text using OCR to help prevent human errors such as manual transcription mistakes and missing entries.

‍

■Flow bot steps

  1. First, connect Box and Stripe to Yoom.
  2. Next, select Box as the trigger and set the action to “When a file is uploaded to a folder.”
  3. Then, set up a branch in the operation so that only files meeting specific conditions proceed to the subsequent steps.
  4. Next, use Box’s “Download file” action to import the target file into Yoom.
  5. Then, use the OCR action “Extract text from images and PDFs” to extract product information and other details from the file as text data.
  6. Finally, set up Stripe’s “Create product” action to automatically create product data based on the information extracted by OCR.

*“Trigger”: An action that initiates a flow. “Operation”: An action that processes data within a flow after the trigger is activated.

‍

■Customization options

  • In the Box trigger settings, enter the content ID of the folder you want to monitor for uploaded files.
  • You can configure the branch conditions to suit your workflow, such as proceeding only when the file name contains a specific string.

‍
