Extract text with OCR when a file is uploaded to Box, then notify Discord

Manually reviewing invoices and application forms uploaded to Box one by one and contacting the relevant departments is time-consuming and increases the risk of missed follow-ups. This workflow streamlines the process by triggering Yoom's OCR feature when a specific file is uploaded to Box, automatically extracting its contents, and notifying Discord of the results.

■Flowbot Steps

1. First, connect Box and Discord to Yoom.
2. Next, select Box as the trigger and set the action to “When a file is uploaded to a folder.”
3. Then, set the Box “Download a file” action as an operation to retrieve the uploaded file.
4. Next, select “Extract text from an image or PDF” from the OCR features as an operation to extract the contents of the downloaded file as text data.
5. Finally, set Discord’s “Send a message” action as an operation to send the text data extracted by OCR to the specified channel.

※“Trigger”: An action that starts the flow. “Operation”: An action that performs processing within the flow after the trigger starts.

■Customization Options

• In the Box trigger settings, specify the specific folder you want to automate using its content ID.
• For the file download action, specify the content ID of the file retrieved by the trigger.
• With the OCR feature, you can configure the file attachment method, the fields to extract, the AI model to use, the language, and more.
• For the Discord message action, specify the channel you want to notify using its channel ID.

■Notes

• Connect both Box and Discord to Yoom.
• The AI operations for OCR and audio transcription are available only on the Team and Success Plans. Please note that on the Free and Mini Plans, any configured operations using these features will result in an error.
