■Overview
Communication on Discord is active and convenient, but important information and task requests can quickly get buried. Have you ever found it time-consuming to manually transfer them to Trello, or missed a task along the way? This workflow helps reduce these challenges when sharing information between Discord and Trello. It automatically detects messages posted in a specific Discord channel and creates task cards in Trello, reducing the time and human errors associated with manual data entry for smoother task management.
■Who This Template Is For
- Anyone who manages requests received on Discord in Trello and finds manual data entry inefficient
- Team leaders who want to turn important notifications and mentions on Discord into Trello tasks while reducing omissions
- Anyone who wants to connect Discord and Trello to streamline project management and task sharing across their team
■Benefits of Using This Template
- Trello cards are automatically created when specific messages are posted on Discord, reducing the time spent on manual data entry
- Because the system transfers information automatically, it helps prevent human errors such as missed responses to important requests and input mistakes caused by copying and pasting
■How the Flowbot Works
- First, connect Discord and Trello to Yoom
- Next, select Discord as the trigger and set the action to “When a message is sent in a channel”
- Then, configure the branching feature in an operation so that the workflow proceeds only when the conditions are met, such as when a message contains specific keywords
- Next, use the text extraction feature in an operation to extract the information you want to enter in the Trello card name or description from the message body
- Finally, configure Trello’s “Create a new card” action in an operation and add a card to the specified list based on the extracted content
※“Trigger”: An action that starts the flow. “Operation”: An action that performs processing within the flow after the trigger starts.
■Customizable Points in This Workflow
- In the Discord trigger settings, enter the server ID and channel ID you want to monitor
- You can set conditions for messages you want to create as Trello tasks, such as “【Request】,” specific emojis, or mentions
- In the action for creating a Trello card, enter the board ID and list ID where you want to add the card
■Notes
- Connect both Discord and Trello to Yoom.
- You can choose a trigger interval of 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 minutes.
- Note that the shortest available trigger interval varies by plan.
- Branching is an operation available on the Personal plan and higher. On the Free plan, configured Flowbot operations will result in an error.
- Paid plans, such as the Personal plan, include a two-week free trial. During the free trial, you can use apps and features (operations) subject to plan restrictions. For more information, see the Pricing Plans page.
