■Overview
Opening PDF files and manually converting them each time to create EPUB files for use in e-books and other applications can be time-consuming. This workflow automatically handles everything from file conversion to sharing when a PDF file is uploaded to a specific Box folder. By automating the manual PDF-to-EPUB conversion process, you can reduce the time and effort required and create an environment that lets you focus on more important tasks.
■Who Should Use This Template
- Anyone who finds manual PDF-to-EPUB conversion time-consuming and wants to automate the entire process
- Anyone who manages PDF files in Box and wants to streamline sharing the converted files
- Anyone who wants to eliminate routine file conversion tasks and secure more time to focus on core business activities
■Benefits of Using This Template
- Simply upload a file to Box to automatically convert it from PDF to EPUB and share it via Gmail, reducing the time previously spent on manual tasks
- Reduce the risk of human errors, such as file conversion mistakes and incorrect recipients or attachments when composing emails, to improve operational accuracy
■Flowbot Workflow
- First, connect Box and Gmail to Yoom
- Next, select Box as the trigger, set the action to “When a file is uploaded to a folder,” and specify the target folder
- Then, configure Box’s “Download a file” action as an operation to retrieve the file uploaded by the trigger
- Next, configure the RPA feature’s “Operate the browser” action as an operation and convert the file to EPUB format using your preferred file conversion site
- Finally, configure Gmail’s “Send an email” action as an operation, attach the converted file, and send the email to the specified recipients
※“Trigger”: An action that initiates the flow. “Operation”: An action that performs processing within the flow after the trigger is activated
■Customization Options
- With the RPA feature, you can configure a series of actions as needed, such as entering the URL of your usual file conversion site, uploading a file, and clicking the conversion button
- With Gmail’s “Send an email” action, you can freely configure the recipient address, subject, and message body. You can also automatically insert information such as the file name retrieved in a previous operation into the message body as a variable
■Notes
- Connect both Box and Gmail to Yoom.
- The “Operate the browser” operation is available only on the Success Plan. Please note that configured Flowbot operations will result in an error on the Free, Mini, and Team Plans.
- Paid plans, including the Success Plan, offer a two-week free trial. During the free trial, you can use restricted apps and the “Operate the browser” operation
- For instructions on configuring the “Operate the browser” operation, see below.
See how to configure the “Operate the browser” operation - Customize the “Operate the browser” operation to match the website you use.
