■Overview
Do you use Airtable as a database tool and Asana as a task management tool, but find it time-consuming to manually transfer information registered in Airtable to Asana? Manually creating tasks not only takes time but can also lead to data entry errors and missed follow-ups.
With this workflow, you can automatically add a task to Asana whenever a record matching specific conditions is registered in Airtable, helping you resolve these challenges smoothly.
■Who Is This Template For?
- Anyone who manually creates Asana tasks based on information managed in Airtable
- Anyone who wants to automate the Airtable–Asana integration to prevent missed or delayed task creation
- Anyone who wants to eliminate data entry between the two tools and streamline project management
■Benefits of This Template
- When a record is registered in Airtable, a task is automatically created in Asana based on the specified conditions, reducing the time previously spent on manual work.
- It helps reduce the risk of human error, such as incorrect entries and missed task creation, which can occur when creating tasks manually.
■Workflow Steps
- First, connect Airtable and Asana to Yoom.
- Next, select Airtable as the trigger and set the “When a record is registered” action.
- Then, use the branching feature to configure the workflow to continue only when specific conditions are met.
- Finally, set the “Add a task” action for Asana and add a task to the desired project.
※“Trigger”: An action that starts the workflow. “Operation”: An action that performs processing within the workflow after the trigger starts.
■Customization Options
- In the action to add a task in Asana, you can create tasks with dynamic content by inserting information retrieved from Airtable by the preceding trigger as variables in fields such as the task title and details.
■Notes
- Connect both Airtable and Asana to Yoom.
- You can choose a trigger interval of 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 minutes.
- Please note that the shortest available trigger interval varies by plan.
- Branching is an operation available on the Mini plan and above. On the Free plan, configured workflow operations will result in an error.
- Paid plans, including the Mini plan, come with a two-week free trial. During the free trial, you can use apps and features (operations) that are otherwise subject to plan restrictions.
