Add ClickUp task due dates to Google Calendar and send Slack notifications

Add ClickUp task due dates to Google Calendar and send Slack notifications

Launch this workflow to connect ClickUp & Google Calendar & Slack !

■Overview

If you manage tasks in ClickUp and schedules in Google Calendar, manually entering information into each tool can be time-consuming. Transferring task due dates to your calendar, in particular, can lead to missed entries and errors.
With this workflow, whenever a task is created in ClickUp, its due date is automatically added to Google Calendar, and a notification is sent to Slack. This makes it easy to connect Google Calendar and ClickUp while improving task management efficiency.

■Who Should Use This Template

  • Those who use ClickUp and Google Calendar together and want to eliminate duplicate data entry
  • Managers who want to prevent missed task due dates in Google Calendar and improve team productivity
  • Those who want to quickly share ClickUp task information with stakeholders and streamline project collaboration

■Benefits of Using This Template

  • Creating a task in ClickUp automatically creates an event in Google Calendar, reducing the time previously spent on manual work.
  • Eliminating manual transcription and missed entries in Google Calendar helps prevent human errors in task due date management.

■Flowbot Workflow

  1. First, connect ClickUp, Google Calendar, and Slack to Yoom.
  2. Next, select ClickUp as the trigger and set the action to “When a task is created.”
  3. In the operation, set ClickUp’s “Get a task” action to retrieve detailed information about the created task.
  4. Then, configure the data transformation and calculation features to automatically format the information required for calendar entries and notifications.
  5. Next, set Google Calendar’s “Create an event” action in the operation to create an event based on the formatted information.
  6. Finally, set Slack’s “Send a message to a channel” action in the operation to notify stakeholders about the task information.

※“Trigger”: An action that starts the flow. “Operation”: An action that processes data within the flow after the trigger starts.

■Customization Options

  • In the ClickUp trigger settings, set the team_id, space_id, folder_id, and list_id to target for automation.
  • In the ClickUp operation, you can set a specific task_id as a fixed value or use information retrieved by the preceding trigger as a variable.
  • For the data replacement operation using regular expressions, you can freely set the strings to replace and their replacements, and use information retrieved earlier as variables.
  • For operations that add, subtract, or convert date and time formats, you can flexibly configure the target date and output format to meet your business requirements.
  • When creating an event in Google Calendar, you can freely insert task information retrieved from ClickUp as variables in the event title, details, and other fields.
  • For Slack notifications, you can choose any destination channel and customize the message by combining fixed text with dynamic information retrieved earlier.

■Important Notes

  • Connect ClickUp, Google Calendar, and Slack to Yoom.
  • To create a Flowbot with more than five operations, you need the Mini plan or above. Please note that Flowbots will not run on the Free plan.
