■Overview
Do you find it time-consuming to manually enter customer information into Shopify from application forms and other files uploaded to Box? This process not only takes time but can also lead to data entry errors. With this workflow, you can connect Box and Shopify so that when a file is uploaded, OCR automatically reads its contents and registers the customer information. Reduce the time and errors associated with manual work, and focus on more important tasks.
■Recommended for
- EC site operators who manually register customer information managed in Box to Shopify
- Those who want to connect Shopify and Box to automate the customer information registration process
- Those who want to use OCR to read paper application forms and other documents and efficiently register the information as Shopify customer data
■Benefits of using this template
- Reduce the time spent on manual work by automatically handling everything from OCR processing to customer registration in Shopify when a file is uploaded to Box.
- Eliminate the need to manually transfer data, helping prevent human errors such as incorrect entries and missed registrations while improving data accuracy.
■Workflow steps
- First, connect Shopify and Box with Yoom.
- Next, select Box as the trigger and set the action to “When a file is uploaded to a folder.”
- Then, set the Box “Download a file” action as an operation to download the file detected by the trigger.
- Next, set the OCR “Extract text from an image or PDF” action as an operation to extract text information from the downloaded file.
- Finally, set the Shopify “Register customer information” action as an operation to register customer data based on the information read by OCR.
* “Trigger”: An action that starts the workflow. “Operation”: An action that processes data within the workflow after the trigger starts.
■Customization options
- In the Box trigger settings, specify the content ID of the folder you want to monitor.
- When setting the action to register customer information in Shopify, make sure to correctly enter the subdomain of your Shopify store to be connected.
