■Overview
If you use Box to manage documents such as order forms and Shopify to manage customer information for your online store, do you find manually transferring data time-consuming?
Manual data entry can also lead to errors that affect future customer support. With this workflow, simply uploading a file to a specific Box folder triggers OCR to automatically extract text from the document and register the customer information in Shopify, helping you resolve these challenges smoothly.
■Who This Template Is Recommended For
- E-commerce managers who use Shopify and Box and want to streamline customer information registration
- Anyone who finds it time-consuming to manually transfer information from documents such as order forms stored in Box to Shopify
- Anyone who wants to eliminate manual-entry errors in customer information and improve data accuracy
■Benefits of Using This Template
- Customer information is automatically registered in Shopify when a file is uploaded to Box, reducing the time spent on manual tasks
- Eliminating manual data transfer reduces the risk of human errors such as incorrect entries and missed registrations, helping maintain accurate customer data
■Flowbot Steps
- First, connect Shopify and Box with Yoom
- Next, select Box as the trigger and set the action to “When a file is uploaded to a folder”
- Next, set up a branching operation and define conditions so that subsequent steps run only when a specific file is uploaded
- Next, set the Box “Download a file” action as an operation
- Next, select the OCR feature and use the “Extract text from an image or PDF” action to extract text from the downloaded file
- Finally, set the Shopify “Register customer information” action as an operation and register customer data based on the information extracted by OCR
*“Trigger”: An action that starts a flow. “Operation”: An action that processes data within a flow after the trigger starts.
■Customization Options
- In the Box trigger settings, you can specify the content ID of the folder you want to monitor
- For the branching feature, you can define conditions for running subsequent steps, such as the file name and format
- In the Shopify action settings, specify the subdomain of the store where you want to register customer information
