■Overview
Do you manually transfer information from meeting notes or project plans created in Confluence to Google Calendar each time? Transferring information is time-consuming and can also lead to input errors or missed updates. This workflow automates the integration between Confluence and Google Calendar. When a specific page is created in Confluence, AI analyzes its contents and automatically creates an event in Google Calendar.
■Recommended for
- Anyone who manually transfers information created in Confluence to Google Calendar
- Anyone who wants to connect Confluence and Google Calendar to eliminate missed updates and manual work
- Anyone who wants to streamline operations by automating tasks such as scheduling meetings after creating recurring meeting notes
■Benefits of this template
- Events are automatically added to Google Calendar when a page is created in Confluence, reducing the time spent on manual data entry.
- Prevent human errors such as incorrect data entry and missed registrations, enabling accurate schedule sharing.
■Workflow
- First, connect Confluence and Google Calendar to Yoom.
- Select Confluence as the trigger and configure the workflow to start when a page is created.
- Next, configure the branching feature so that subsequent steps run only when specific conditions are met.
- Then, use Confluence's “Retrieve a page” action to get detailed information about the created page.
- Configure the AI feature to “Extract data from text” and extract information such as the event date, time, and title from the page content.
- Finally, use Google Calendar's “Create an event” action to register the event based on the extracted information.
※“Trigger”: An action that starts a workflow. “Operation”: An action that processes data within a workflow after the trigger starts.
■Customization options
- For each Confluence setting, configure the cloud ID that matches your environment.
- With the branching feature, you can freely define conditions for running subsequent steps based on information such as the retrieved page title—for example, processing only pages with a specific label.
- In the Confluence page retrieval action, you can specify the target page ID using a fixed value or variable.
- With the AI feature, you can freely customize the text to analyze and the items to extract, such as the meeting name and date.
- For the event title and description registered in Google Calendar, you can set information extracted by the preceding AI step as variables.
■Notes
- Connect both Confluence and Google Calendar to Yoom.
- You can choose a trigger interval of 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 minutes.
- Note that the shortest available trigger interval varies by plan.
- Branching is an available feature (operation) on the Mini plan and above. On the Free plan, operations configured in workflows that use branching will result in an error.
- Paid plans, including the Mini plan, come with a two-week free trial. During the free trial, you can use apps and features (operations) that are otherwise restricted.
