■Overview
Do you manage tasks by integrating Asana and Box, but find it time-consuming to manually create an Asana task and attach the relevant file after uploading it to Box?
With this workflow, whenever a file is uploaded to a specific Box folder, AI reads the file content, automatically creates a task in Asana, and attaches the file. This streamlines the entire process and helps prevent issues such as missed follow-ups.
■Who should use this template
- Those who want to streamline their work by connecting file management in Box with task management in Asana
- Those who find it inefficient to manually share files and create tasks between Box and Asana
- Those who want to automate task creation based on file content and boost team productivity
■Benefits of using this template
- Automatically creating an Asana task and attaching the file when a file is uploaded to Box reduces the time spent on manual work
- Reducing the risk of human error, such as missed task creation or forgotten file attachments, helps improve operational accuracy
■Flowbot steps
- First, connect Box and Asana to Yoom
- Next, select Box as the trigger and set the action to “When a file is uploaded to a folder”
- Then, set the Box operation to “Download a file”
- Next, use Asana’s “Add a task” action to create a task based on the extracted information
- Finally, use Asana’s “Attach a file” action to attach the downloaded file to the task you created
※ “Trigger”: An action that starts the flow. “Operation”: An action that processes data within the flow after the trigger starts.
■Customization options
- In the Asana “Add a task” action, you can set values such as the assignee and project
- You can flexibly configure the task title and description by embedding not only fixed text, but also variables such as the file name retrieved by the trigger or content extracted using AI features
■Notes
- Connect both Box and Asana to Yoom.
- The maximum file size available for download is 300 MB. Depending on the app specifications, the limit may be less than 300 MB.
- See below for details on the file size limits supported by the trigger and each operation.
