Extract Malayalam text from files submitted via Google Forms using OCR and add it to Google Sheets

■Workflow

1. First, connect Google Forms and Google Sheets to Yoom
2. Next, select Google Forms as the trigger and set the action to “When a response is submitted to the form”
3. Next, in the operation, set the “Download a file” action for Google Drive associated with the form response
4. Next, select OCR’s “Read text from images and PDFs” operation to extract text from the downloaded file
5. Finally, in the operation, set Google Sheets’ “Add a record” action to register the extracted text in the specified sheet

※“Trigger”: An action that starts the workflow. “Operation”: An action that processes data within the workflow after the trigger starts.

■Customization Options

• In the Google Forms trigger settings, specify the ID of the form you want to use
• In the OCR operation, specify the fields you want to extract from the file
• In the operation that registers data in Google Sheets, specify the target spreadsheet ID and sheet name

■Important Notes

• ‍‍Connect both Google Forms and Google Sheets to Yoom.
• You can select a trigger interval of 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 minutes.
• Note that the shortest available trigger interval varies by plan.
• AI operations for OCR and audio transcription are available only on the Team and Success plans. On the Free and Mini plans, operations in configured workflows will result in an error.
• Paid plans, such as the Team and Success plans, include a two-week free trial. During the free trial, you can use apps and AI features (operations) that are otherwise subject to plan restrictions.
• The maximum downloadable file size is 300 MB. Depending on the app specifications, the limit may be less than 300 MB.
