■Overview
Do you manually prepare a management Google Sheet every time someone submits a Google Form? Copying a template sheet, renaming it, and transferring submission details can become a significant burden as the number of submissions grows. With this workflow, you can automate the entire process of copying a sheet to another spreadsheet in Google Sheets whenever a Google Form response is submitted, making this manual work more efficient.
■Who This Template Is For
- Teams managing applications or inquiries with Google Forms and Google Sheets
- Anyone interested in automating routine tasks for copying a sheet to another spreadsheet in Google Sheets
- Team leaders who want to streamline administrative tasks and prevent missed steps or omissions in manual application processing
■Benefits of Using This Template
- Automatically create a management sheet when a response is submitted through Google Forms, reducing the time spent on manual copy-and-paste tasks and data entry.
- Reduce the risk of human error, such as forgetting to copy a sheet or entering application details incorrectly, and improve operational accuracy.
■How the Flowbot Works
- First, connect Google Forms and Google Sheets to Yoom.
- Next, select Google Forms as the trigger and set the action to “When a response is submitted to a form.”
- Then, configure the Google Sheets operation “Copy a sheet (tab)” to copy the template sheet.
- Next, configure the Google Sheets operation “Update sheet name” to rename the copied sheet based on the respondent’s information or other details.
- Finally, configure the Google Sheets operation “Enter values in a range” to enter the form responses into the specified range of the copied sheet.
※“Trigger”: An action that starts the flow. “Operation”: An action that processes data within the flow after the trigger starts.
■Customization Options
■Customization Options
- In the Google Forms trigger settings, enter the ID of the form you want to use as the trigger.
- For each Google Sheets operation, specify the source spreadsheet ID, tab name, destination ID, and other details as needed.
■Notes
- Connect both Google Forms and Google Sheets to Yoom.
- You can select a trigger interval of 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 minutes.
- Note that the shortest available trigger interval varies by plan.
- For information on how to retrieve response details when using Google Forms as a trigger, see How to Retrieve Response Details with the Google Forms Trigger.
