Create a task in Todoist when a message is sent in Discord

If you use Discord for team communication and Todoist for task management, manually creating tasks from chat messages and missing task entries can become ongoing challenges.
This workflow uses AI to summarize messages sent to a specific Discord channel and automatically creates tasks in Todoist. Eliminate tedious manual work between Todoist and Discord and streamline task management.

■Flow Bot Workflow

1. First, connect Discord and Todoist to Yoom.
2. Next, select Discord as the trigger and set the action to “When a message is sent in a channel.”
3. Then, select the AI feature as an operation and set the action to “Generate text” to create task details based on the Discord message.
4. Finally, set Todoist’s “Create a task” action as an operation to create a task using the content generated by AI.

※“Trigger”: An action that starts the flow. “Operation”: An action that processes data within the flow after the trigger starts.

■Customization Options

• In the Discord trigger settings, select the channel from which you want to create tasks.
• In the AI text generation operation, you can freely customize the prompt used to generate a Todoist task description based on Discord messages. Please note that the number of tasks consumed varies depending on the length of the prompt.
• In the Todoist task creation operation, you can freely configure the task content, description, due date, and more. You can enter fixed text, embed information retrieved in previous steps as variables, or assign tasks to a specific project or section.

■Important Notes

• Connect both Discord and Todoist to Yoom.
• You can choose a trigger interval of 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 minutes.
• The shortest available trigger interval varies by plan. Please keep this in mind.
