When a file is uploaded to Dropbox, analyze it with Gemini and send the results to Google Chat

This workflow uses a file upload to Dropbox as the trigger, allowing Gemini to automatically analyze and summarize the file contents, then notify Google Chat of the results. By connecting Gemini with Google Chat, you can eliminate the manual work of reviewing and sharing files and streamline information sharing.

■Flowbot steps

1. First, connect Dropbox, Gemini, and Google Chat to Yoom
2. Next, select Dropbox as the trigger and set the action to “When a file is created or updated in a specific folder”
3. Then, set the Dropbox “Download a file” action as an operation to download the file detected by the trigger
4. Next, use Gemini's “Upload a file” action to upload the file you just downloaded
5. Then, use Gemini's “Generate content (use a file)” action to generate content based on the uploaded file and the specified prompt
6. Finally, set Google Chat's “Send a message” action as an operation to notify the designated space of the content generated by Gemini

※“Trigger”: An action that starts the flow. “Operation”: An action that processes data within the flow after the trigger starts.

■Customization options

• In the Dropbox trigger settings, you can specify the path and file name of the folder you want to monitor
• In the Gemini content generation action, you can dynamically specify the file to analyze using information retrieved from Dropbox in the previous step
• You can freely customize the prompt provided to Gemini. By incorporating information such as the file name as variables, you can generate content that better fits the context
• You can choose any Google Chat space to notify, and embed values retrieved by previous actions, such as Gemini's generated output, in the notification message

■Notes

• Connect each of Dropbox, Gemini, and Google Chat to Yoom.
• You can choose a trigger interval of 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 minutes.
• Please note that the shortest trigger interval varies by plan.
• Google Chat can only be connected when using Google Workspace. See below for details.
